So, you have started your online business.  You have sent hours working on your website and you have finally published your site to the web.  Now what?  You cannot just sit back and expect your audience to find you…you need to find them. 

Generating traffic to your website can be complicated.  Submitting your site to search engines can be a tedious task and does not guarantee visitors to your site.  With millions of websites on the internet your site is just a drop in the ocean. 

When it came time to start driving traffic to my site, AMH Marketing, I turned to traffic exchanges.  Traffic exchanges allow you to surf the sites of other traffic exchange members and in return you receive credits that can be converted to hits to your site.

3. Webmaster's Corner: Meta Tags

Meta Tags are HTML tags used to control your site description in the search engines that support them.  Although they will help improve your position in the search engines, they will not guarantee that your web site appears first.

There are three Meta Tags that your site must have if you are planning to submit your site to search engines: website title, description and keywords.  These tags are vital to getting the search engines to review your website and understand its contents.
